experienced and dynamic Finance Leader to oversee all financial
aspects of our Long Island manufacturing and Capsule Works
manufacturing sites located in Bohemia & Bayport , NY. This
position will be onsite.The Senior Controller will be the steadfast
custodian of stewardship and governance for the facilities and
Trusted co-pilot to the Factory Manager , Leadership Teams, and the
Operations Controller for NHSc US. The position will be accountable
for all factory financial matters (vision, organization, practices,
initiatives/projects) and provides fact-based decision making on
both short term & long-term strategic objectives. Additionally, the
Sr Controller provides visibility and forecasts around costs
related to the factory processes through the driving of relevant
analysis and reporting (monitoring of the budget and controlling
the variances), ensures Compliance to financial legal requirements,
and Nestle Accounting Standards (NAS).Responsibilities:Identifies,
drives, and delivers cost improvement opportunities, and is an
active contributor to improvement projects and initiatives,
validate, review, and track proposed savings. Challenges
assumptions for cost improvements in factory based on internal and
external benchmark information on factory performance and costs.
Actively drives improvement activities within the factory and
ensures activities are in alignment with business Operational
Master PlanManages and interprets factory reporting of actuals and
forecasts for the factory and key outside stakeholders; ensures
transparency, accuracy, and timeliness of this process; follows up
and monitoring of progress to close gaps, ensuring Nestle financial
policies, Accounting Standards and Costing Standards are followed
by promoting ownership of data at sourceIdentifies and leads
strategic financial analysis relating to major or strategic
decisions related to the factory to ensure full transparency of
costs and non-financial implicationsDevelops, controls, and ensures
robust evaluations of capital investment plans and requests
including post CAPEX evaluationsDrives business planning manages
the overall factory budget with factory management team as well as
serves as critical liaison between factory and Corporate/Commercial
Teams in the business planning process. Performs forecasts,
revisions, or simulations as neededEnsures clear control and
visibility of assets and liabilities, including the development,
implementation, and compliance with internal controls in all areas.
Accountable for Segregation of Duties (SODs) and assessment of
compensating control effectivenessCoaches and develops the factory
personnel with focus on finance individuals & team including career
and succession planningDrives clear understanding of financial key
figures, costing and business impact within and outside the
factory, including organizing training sessions for
non-specialistsManages routine audit activities within the factory
to ensure compliance on critical areas e.g., NAS, Costing
Standards, statutory accounting/tax, OPEX guideline and
appropriately escalate business risks. As the Champion of
compliance & risk management for the site is the key contact for
internal and external audits within the
factoryRequirements:Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or
equivalent10+ years of progressive accounting and reporting
experienceExperience with SAP, a plusDirect experience in an
accounting leadership role with in-depth knowledge of GAAP and
strong financial acumenNice to have: MBA and/or Certified Public
Accountant (CPA) licenseSkills:Knowledge of activity-based
costing/management and factory management systems/toolsKnowledge of
accounting principles in fixed assets, accounts payable, payroll,
inventory control, financial reporting, and general
accountingUnderstanding of information systems functionAbility to
manage a multi-faceted departmentStrong project leadership skills,
self-directed, and be a team playerCollaborative business partner
with company and divisional leaders, adept at building
cross-functional relationships to drive business results and
provide oversightProven leader known for the ability to develop,
