What you'll do as the AP Specialist: • Responsible for data input, validation, and processing of invoices in three separate companies • Verify the accuracy of all supplier invoices entered into the accounting system. • Implement the "3-way matching" payment verification method, cross-referencing purchase details across purchase orders, goods receipts, and invoices, and investigate any discrepancies. • Supervise the "goods received but not invoiced" report and promptly resolve outstanding items. • Establish clear and courteous communication with suppliers to obtain supplier statements and resolve inquiries or disputes. • Examine and manage the accounts payable aging report for overdue invoices. • Continually assess accounts payable processes, protocols, and internal controls for efficiency and effectiveness. What we are looking for in an AP Specialist: • Associates degree in Accounting or other business-related field preferred, but not required • Possesses a minimum of three (3) years of experience in an accounts payable role with exposure to light accounting functions • Familiarity with online payment and/or portal systems and banking resources • Demonstrates keen attention to detail and problem-solving abilities, capable of prioritizing and multitasking in a deadline-driven environment • Adaptable to change, skilled at coordinating workloads to manage concurrent deadlines, and maintains a positive attitude • Exhibits a sense of urgency and self-motivation, displaying a personal commitment to meeting deadlines • Self-driven and results-oriented, characterized by a high level of integrity and determination • Comfortable with learning new systems and proficient in operating multiple systems • Microsoft Dynamics AX is a PLUS! • Willingness to work overtime as necessary to meet workload demands
