Job Description Equity Staffing Group is currently staffing a Patient Care Coordinator for on-site work in Port Jefferson, NY. This is contract work with a Fortune 500 organization. Position : Patient Care Coordinator Location : Port Jefferson, NY 11776 Duration: 5 Month contract to start, potential for extension Rate : $25/Hr Start Date : ASAP Description: Patient Care Coordinator for busy dermatology office in Port Jefferson Station This is a front desk position that is responsible for checking in patients, and updating and inputting insurance and demographic information for patients. Processing insurance eligibility and referral information. Answering phones, scheduling appointments. Handling patient messages and provider callbacks. Setting up patient My Chart accounts. Requirements: Candidates must be able to work independently and with other front desk staff. Candidates must have good customer service, communication and computer skills, Previous medical reception experience preferred. Epic EMR experience and dermatology helpful. Hours: Monday 8-7, Wednesday 8:30-6:30 and Thursday 8-6. Min Education: High School Diploma OR GED
