Job Description Job Description About the Role Talent Vision is
partnering with a public charter school in the Bronx to recruit a
Classroom Social Worker . This is a unique opportunity for Master
of Social Work (MSW) professionals who are passionate about
transitioning into education and becoming certified classroom
teachers. The role is part of a structured Social Worker-to-Teacher
Pathway Program . SWs begin as co-teachers in grades K–2, applying
their social work expertise to support both the academic and
social-emotional needs of students. While teaching, SWs will also
enroll in the RELAY Graduate School of Education residency program
to earn teacher certification. Each SW is paired with an
experienced mentor teacher and, upon successful program completion,
will transition into a lead teaching role. Starting Salary: $74,000
Key Responsibilities Co-teach in a K–2 classroom, gradually taking
on more instructional responsibility. Apply social work training to
strengthen classroom culture and integrate social-emotional
learning into daily instruction. Partner with a mentor teacher for
coaching, feedback, and professional growth. Use student data to
inform instruction and interventions. Build strong relationships
with families and collaborate with colleagues to support student
success. Contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom environment
aligned with high expectations for all students. Participate in
professional development, including summer orientation and ongoing
training throughout the year. Complete the RELAY Graduate School of
Education residency program to work toward full teacher
certification. Qualifications Master of Social Work (MSW) required
(degree must be conferred before start date). Commitment to
completing the RELAY Graduate School of Education residency
program. Passion for working with elementary students, particularly
in underserved communities. Strong communication, collaboration,
and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated adaptability, resilience,
and a growth mindset. Prior experience working with children in
schools or youth-serving organizations preferred. About Talent
