Job Description:

A recognized services organization in New Jersey is currently seeking an experienced IT professional to join their staff as their new Test Automation Engineer. In this role, the Test Automation Engineer will be responsible for developing, executing, and integrating automated test suites using COTS and custom tools in CICD pipelines.

***This is a Hybrid opportunity requiring the qualified professional to work onsite at least 2 days a week.***

Responsibilities:

The Test Automation Engineer will:

• Develop and maintain automated manual test plans/scripts for responsive/progressive web applications and batch processes
• Participate in requirements discussions and transform them into viable automated tests for applications that are in line with service goals
• Develop, support, maintain, execute and enhance automated test scripts and keep them functional for daily pipeline execution
• Provide technical assistance for web, mobile, and desktop applications
• Innovate in building high-quality software applications that deliver business value
• Work with the Development team to capture and reuse automated Unit Test Cases, Test Stubs and Drivers, and other Development test objects
• Ensure proper version control and configuration management of all test objects developed and test environments used
• Research and document bug reports following agreed-upon processes immediately upon discovery of a quality problem
• Update test execution status following agreed-upon processes as part of regularly-scheduled test status updates
• Assist the Engineering Manager in documenting the product/application quality in various status reports and metrics Qualifications:
  • Adequate knowledge in .NET Web/SQL
  • Deep understanding of the front-end and back-end aspects of application development
  • Able to implement automated test of web applications that use HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Able to work with databases, API's, web services, and other server-side resources
  • Solid problem solving and time management skills
