The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at No rthwell Health seeks a dynamic OBGYN Board Certified/Board Eligible Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgeon to be the Director of Gynecology at Mather Hospital and join our Long Island team in Port Jefferson, NY as we expand our Women’s Health services across the health system. We are looking to add to our division of MIGS trained surgeons who already provide excellent care in these and other areas of Suffolk County. Mather Hospital , located in Port Jefferson, NY & a member of Northwell Health, is an accredited 248-bed, non-profit community teaching hospital. Founded in 1929 as the first general hospital in the Town of Brookhaven, Mather Hospital has consistently fulfilled its original patient care mission of providing a wide spectrum of healthcare services of the highest quality to the residents of Suffolk County and has repeatedly ranked in U.S. News & World Report’s annual Best Hospitals list as among the best in both New York State and the New York metro area. South Shore University Hospital located 30 miles east of NYC in Bay Shore, New York. This 305-bed hospital is rapidly growing with plans to potentially expand to over four hundred beds. Comprising 2,500 deliveries per year, South Shore University Hospital has become a regional destination for high-quality care on Suffolk County’s south shore. Due to open soon, Northwell Health’s Women and Infant’s Center at South Shore University Hospital will contain 9 labor and delivery rooms, 29 private post-partum rooms and a 16-bay neonatal intensive care unit. South Shore University Hospital is an important academic teaching center for the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell, providing residencies and fellowships in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Maternal Fetal Medicine and Urogynecology.
