Job Description Job Description Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiovascular / Open Heart ICU Location: New York, NY (10016) Assignment Duration: 14 Weeks Shift: Night Shift – 3 × 12.5 hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) Hours per Week: 36 Compensation Local Candidates: $60–$68/hour Weekly Range: $2,160–$2,448 Travel Candidates: $60–$82/hour (includes stipend) Weekly Range: $2,160–$2,952 Position Overview "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a high-acuity Cardiovascular/Open Heart Intensive Care Unit in New York, NY. This role involves providing critical care to post–open heart surgery patients and individuals undergoing advanced cardiovascular procedures in a fast-paced ICU setting. Key Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive critical care to adult cardiovascular ICU patients Monitor hemodynamics, cardiac output, and post-operative recovery Administer IV medications, fluids, and blood products per protocol Perform IV insertion and phlebotomy as required Assist with conscious sedation and provide post-procedure monitoring Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-surgical care Adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control practices Qualifications Active New York State RN License (Primary Source Verified) Minimum 2 years of critical care experience (Cardiac ICU or Surgical ICU preferred) Proficiency in IV insertion and phlebotomy Experience with conscious sedation monitoring AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Education RN degree Active NYS RN licensure Current BLS and ACLS certifications For more details contact at hdavda@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.
