Job Description Job Description Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1 year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A contract opportunity is available for a skilled occupational therapist to provide targeted 1:1 therapy services within a school environment located in Jamaica, NY. This position offers an ASAP start for the full 2025-2026 school year, working Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 2 PM, totaling 27.5 hours weekly. Key Responsibilities: Deliver 55 individualized occupational therapy sessions per week, supporting students aged 5 to 14. Provide specialized 1:1 OT services tailored to address the unique needs of students with disabilities, primarily Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), along with Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy (CP), and other genetic disorders. Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to create and implement effective intervention plans that promote functional skills and educational success. Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in accordance with school and state guidelines. Adapt therapeutic techniques to meet the evolving needs of the caseload while fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Qualifications: Valid occupational therapy license with school-based experience preferred. Proven expertise working with children with developmental disabilities, including ASD and genetic disorders. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Commitment to supporting the educational and developmental progress of students through evidence-based practices.
