Job Description:

This locum tenens Family Practice physician role involves providing outpatient primary care services in a collaborative clinic setting. The provider will care for adult and geriatric patients, supporting the team during a maternity leave absence. The role focuses on routine primary care with no hospital, ED, or supervisory responsibilities.

Dates/Schedule

• Coverage: ASAP TBD
• Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m.; Tuesdays until 7:00 p.m.
• Patient volume: Approximately 3 patients per hour
• Practice support: 5 physicians and 1 mid-level provider

Job Details / Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient primary care services to adult and geriatric populations
• Perform routine evaluations and management of acute and chronic conditions
• Interpret EKGs and manage issues such as blood pressure and volume status
• Conduct employment physicals and disability evaluations
• Utilize Athena EMR for documentation
• Work in a clinic equipped with lab services and standard emergency supplies (e.g., defibrillator)
• No responsibilities for inpatient care, ED backup, codes, or supervision of other providers

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Active New Jersey medical license (Required)
• Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in Family Medicine (Preferred)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (Preferred)
• Experience in adult outpatient primary care, including required procedures (EKG interpretation, physicals, disability exams)
• Must be a local provider
• (NPDB self-query dated within 30 days (Required)
