Job Description:

Victory Recovery Partners is looking for an experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our rapidly growing team. Positions available in Eastern & Western Suffolk.The LMHC is responsible for providing group and individual counseling to program clients. The LMHC will work with the case management staff and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to develop and implement treatment plans for clients with history of substance abuse.Responsibilities and DutiesThe LMHC is expected to: Assess program clients and participate in a comprehensive evaluation of each client to screen for substance abuse history/issues. Document, implement and update the treatment and/or individual service plan for clients as assigned. Knowledge of OASAS 822 regulations and documentation requirements. Write Daily progress notes, maintain all documentation requirements in a timely manner. Facilitate group counseling sessions including, among others, relapse prevention. Experience in didactic educational group presentation a plus. Participate in quality assurance review as required by program management. Plan and facilitate aftercare with community based providers. Identify and develop relationships with community based providers. Background in Case Management a plus - strong knowledge of community resources. Perform other duties as may be assigned.Qualifications and Skills Valid New York State LMHC License required. Master's Degree Required. Two years' experience working with clients with history of alcohol or substance abuse.Job Type: Full-timeExperience: Substance Abuse Counseling: 1 year preferred Co-Occurring Disorder Counseling: 1 year preferredAvailable shifts and compensation: Available shifts all days except Sundays.
