We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled System Support Engineer to join our Rail Service Department in Hauppauge, NY. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our customers receive the best technical support.Job Opportunity: System Support SpecialistWe're seeking a dynamic and skilled System Support Engineer to join our team. If you have a passion for providing technical support, troubleshooting, and ensuring the seamless functioning of software and systems, this role might be perfect for you.Responsibilities:

• Provide top-notch technical support to customers and in-house departments through various channels (telephone, email, remote desktop).
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment returned for service.
• Plan, develop, and standardize methods and procedures for testing software and systems.
• Assist in the development of software configuration and testing.
• Utilize hand and power tools for assembling sub-assemblies and products.
• Identify and isolate the root cause of problems, recognizing possible origins of failure.
• Assist in Quality Control of rail systems.
• Coordinate field service activities to ensure products and systems meet engineering design and customer specifications.
• Perform field installations and support both domestically and abroad.
• Conduct various types of testing, including functional, system, integration, and regression.

  • Strong experience in computer troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Advanced knowledge of troubleshooting software and hardware systems.
  • Experience with remote connections and remote desktop solutions (e.g., VPN connectivity).
  • Quality control experience.
  • Familiarity with task-based management systems such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Ability to read schematics, mechanical drawings, instructions, and bills of materials.
  • Independent learner with the ability to work autonomously.
  • Proven ability to manage changing/multiple priorities effectively.
  • Working knowledge of common electronics tools (multimeters, function generators, oscilloscopes).
  • Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbsQualifications Desired
    • Systems integration or support engineer experience.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Multilingual.
