The Mechanical Lab Technician position is a full-time, onsite, 2nd shift opportunity offering $30.00 per hour , with strong emphasis on dependability, lab safety, and hands-on mechanical testing experience. Highlights This is a contract role with possible long-term extension Schedule: Monday???Friday, 2:00 PM ??? 10:30 PM (8.5-hour shift including 0.5-hour lunch) Location: Onsite in Franklin Lakes, NJ Start Date: ASAP Must be punctual, dependable , and willing to flex to day shift as needed Safety-first environment: Buddy system enforced for all equipment operation Experience with Instron Software (Blue-Hill 3 or Universal) and Tensile/Compression Testing is preferred Mechanical Lab Technician ??? Responsibilities Perform lab tests to support product development, test method validation (TMV), and engineering studies Execute test requests with moderate oversight and complete assigned lab activities Support test method development (TMD), verification/validation (Ver/Val), and equipment qualification (IQ/OQ) Identify and troubleshoot minor issues with test requests in collaboration with requestors Maintain Good Documentation Practice (GDP) and comply with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards Assist in simplifying lab testing processes and maintaining a clean, safe workspace Record and report data accurately and support technical documentation needs Mechanical Lab Technician ??? Requirements Education (one of the following): Bachelor???s degree in science/engineering ??? no experience required Associate???s degree in applied science ??? no experience required High school diploma ??? minimum 4 years of relevant experience in a regulated lab environment Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working independently or in a team Basic math proficiency and data recording accuracy Preferred experience: Mechanical test equipment operation Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams) Instron testing systems and software (Blue-Hill 3 or Universal) Work Environment & Physical Requirements Lab environment requiring PPE (may involve exposure to chemicals or human body fluids) Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs If you think this Mechanical Lab Technician (Night Shift) position is a good fit for you, please reach out ??? feel free to call, email, or apply to this posting!
